Houston, TX - Trae Tha Truth has made his name synonymous with working with children in the past couple of years but even he was surprised by the ease with which his 8 year-old son, Lil Jared, adopted a rap persona and jumped on the mic.

No stranger to the limelight, Lil Jared has been a fixture in both music videos and live performances since the age of 2; along with the likes of Pimp C, Slim Thug, Yung Joc, Playaz Circle and of course his father's G-Maab and ABN Gang.

At the insistence of his son, who already knows what he wants to be when he grows up, the 2 got together in the studio and recorded Ballin' Smashin'. The music video for this father-son collaboration debuted on WorldStarHipHop.com just yesterday and has already garnered almost 800,000 hits.

Many have speculated on the lack of up-and-coming young Houston rap artists ready to pick up the baton and keep H-Town on the map, but it seems that Trae has one growing right in his own back yard. Stay tuned for more collabos from this dynamic duo.
