Lol all he gots to do is show him through a couple of lyrical assaults. But crooked sees how good of an artist p is and took his opinion to heart I guess because of his level of respect he has or had for p. Why don't he worry about them niggaz who just shot at him? Catch that fade firstI was just listening to Crooked's HHW #33 that he mentioned in his letter to P and came to the conclusion that he doesn't need to drop a diss track to P to prove himself lyrically. Crooked merked that Mobb Deep beat something serious. In the end Crooked > Prodigy over the "Get Away" beat. That should be enough proof.I feel you but crooked feels differently based on that fact he wants to fight the nigga when just 2 weeks ago niggaz was blamin at him and he aint say shit about catchin a fade with them. True, but hardly a fair comparison. How you gonna fade with someone shooting at you? Totally different scenario. Im talking afterwards he aint throw no shots they way telling them to man up and catch a fade. im just saying that because after what he went through catching a fade with a nigga who doesn't like his MUSIC should be the last thing on his mind when he got niggaz tryin to clap him. That's why I say he has to really respect P as a rapper to even take time to get into this when just 2 weeks ago somebody tried to take his life forreal forreal.I gotcha. But look at it like this. Perhaps Crooked has an idea who tried to shoot him, by now? If so, then I'm sure he ain't gonna air that shit out publicly. Knowing his history through his music as a "street nigga" he ain't about to incriminate himself. If anything, he'll adhere to the code of the streets and handle it on his own terms like street niggas do. Besides, if you caught the latest SlaughterHouse track that leaked last week, you'd know he made references to the incident throughout the song. Most notably at the end when he says "Hey, with friends like mine, you don't need enemies, blaaow, you do the math."As for responding to P, that's his prerogative. Whether it warranted a response or not ain't for us to determine. Do you think Spider Loc would've responded to something like that? My $ says he would've.

Also he kind of made it a big hoopla by having it a mystery about what happened for like a week. But Crooked is cool with me im just saying why get all bout it with a nigga in jail when you got these niggaz right here? I know and you know if they were to fight somebody gettin stabbed or shot cause this aint the 70's were it was just hands and thats it. But i give it to you,you talk like a real dude not like some of these other clowns.O yea and the spi thing i highly doubt he would take it to the streets just caused somebody said he couldnt rap. He would go at him and as long as lines arent crossed thats where it would stay. Crooked off muscle want to fight p lol

He would go at him and as long as lines arent crossed thats where it would stay. Crooked off muscle want to fight p lolIn all honesty, I didn't take that letter too seriously. I just don't see it going down like that. It ain't nothing worth Crooked losing sleep over.My guess is, Crooked did it more for clowning purposes than anything else. Read the letter and the part where he says Since you have time on your hands.... That's kinda funny if you think about it. Then of course P.S. Do some push ups. Also, another way to look at this from a clowning perspective is the fact that Prodigy wrote a letter which mentions Crooked I in a negative tone. So in return, Crooked I writes a letter back, instead of going into the booth to diss him over a track. It's like he's playing P's game. Like Joe Budden said about P in a diss track "Blood On The Wall" he called P a "gangsta blogger". We already know if P were to diss Crooked on wax, that Crooked would respond back on wax. Therefore it's funny to me seeing Crooked play P's "gangster blogger" game with him. Like I said, I don't think it's really that serious. Funny? Yes.
I have afact for you: There's no Crooked I album on a top 1000 rap albums of all time.
Quote from: Wick3D on March 10, 2009, 07:23:07 PMI have afact for you: There's no Crooked I album on a top 1000 rap albums of all time. No, but 1000 albums is a lot for a greatest of all time list. Even mediocre artists make it, like Mobb Deep.
This thread is the proof that a lot of people on dubcc overate Crooked I. I like him as a freestyle rapper, but he NEVER made a song that I consider classic. He got some nice songs here and there, but most of the time they're using other people beats. The only thing I really like about him is how he is lyrical in his freestyles (well, when he freestyle and don't use a recycled verse). I have afact for you: There's no Crooked I album on a top 1000 rap albums of all time. C'mon guys. You can't compare Mobb Deep and Crooked I.
Ok, ok I,m gonna say it like this:Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. IICall them mediocre artists if you want, but this joint right here is a hip hop classic

Not rappers with an album, not rappers with a hit song. That said, lyrically right now, Crooked shits on P. I don't think even P in his prime can touch Crooked right now. Shook Ones pt 2 is a classic no doubt, but its not exactly the most amazing lyrics.
