BUT, watch the movie again & view carefully; Al & De Niro are NEVER in the same shot.

there is not one scene where they are face to face & both faces are in the same picture; probably just stand-in's.

lol the films not for everyone but its one of his faves and to be honest its a great movie if your not expectign car chases and a shootout every 5 mins if you expect that watch bad boys

I think Mann shot it like that just to mess with people. Everyone wanted to see a movie with those two in it and they finally go tit....just not exactly the way they wanted it lol. Anyways, people got their wish with Righteous Kill except that movie was balls.

Yeah, amazing cinematography.  Mann just has an amazing catalog period. Except for that Miami Vice. That was awful.

best cinematography i have ever seen was in vice better than heat the scenes where shot more personal more close up than heat wouldent you say so by using the digital style he personaly used the camera by runing behind or wtih the actors specialy the last fight with the white supresmasists. i surpose it what your looking for in a film i wanted it to be really relistic and it was so i was happy..
