According to Christte Michelle when Nas records he just spits first take and isn't too specific. Where as Jay-Z is very specific and will rerecord his voice similar to how Dre might have someone repeat a verse 50 times until he thinks its correct.

I believe NIgger was a disappointment due to the label interference. Hip-Hop is Dead should've been split into an ep (the first couple of tracks and hope) and another album (the rest of the joints). While they're disappointments as comprehensive albums his songs, for the most part, are all still dope. I wish he'd release a vocal for Nigger and Hip-Hop is dead so people can mash it up and add their own beats.

Has anyone heard of any Nas mashups? I've only got that Al Green one.
