Lenny Kravitz To Play New Orleans Jazz Fest

With a national tour in support of his latest album, Lenny, still only in the planning stages, Lenny Kravitz has announced his lone American appearance for the time being, at 2002 Jazz Fest in New Orleans in April. The rocker will headline the popular festival on April 26, sharing a bill with Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. Major acts currently on board for other nights include Melissa Etheridge and Taj Mahal (April 27), and Phil Lesh & Friends with Gov't Mule (May 4). For Kravitz, the gig follows a series of dates in Japan and precedes a European trek. The latter will feature his first appearance in the U.K. in three years, at London's Wembley Arena on June 17.

An American tour is expected at some point after the London appearance.
