Santana > Greinke > Halladay > Lincy

Greinke ahead of Lincy!! Greinke is off to amazing start but it's early while Lincy was the best all year last year winning the cy young and is still off to a good start now, this is how I see it,

Johan>Lincy=Halladay>Grienke

Santana > Greinke > Halladay > Lincy

santana and greinkes numbers this year are beyond amazing.  but greinke does have the edge over johan.

idk how he's ranking them, but this season..

Greinke > Santana > Halladay > Lincecum.

DOC has been the best pitcher in baseball for years.  You have all these other guys who are good for a coulpe or 3 years, then you have DOC.  He has been on another level forever now.  Dude wins like 18-20+ games EVERY year, good ERA, not many walks...Roy is the best, thats it!

first of all, wins dont mean too much.  second of all, hes only won 18+ 3 times.  hardly EVERY year lol.  he does have a good ERA, but hes also had a couple years when its been up there.

bottom line, if we're talking best in the game, hands down, with out a shadow of a doubt, its johan santana.

What a game by Halladay!  Great to watch, nice win.

Now if you are talking about just this year so far, then it's...Greinke > Santana > Halladay > Lincecum.   The numbers don't lie.
But if you're talking about the "best pitcher in baseball" that's different, i'd like to take a larger sample size than the 6-8 starts this season.  I would say Santana is the best in the game.

Here are Doc's career stats so you guys don't have to argue on the specifics.

dont get me wrong, doc is VERY VERY VERY good, but santana is a couple notches above him.

Good win for the Jays, won me a couple bucks. The Jays are playing great right now, would love to see a new team take the AL East. As for the pitching debate, Greinke has been ridiculous this year and Lincecum has been great since coming into the league. But I'd rank Santana and Halladay top 2 unquestionably with a slight edge to Santana. I think it's a tiny gap, Halladay gets credit for all those complete games, but if you give me a Game 7 stage, I'd take Santana.
I got a bird's eye view

Tonight it's the veteran vs. the rookie.  Vegas has this as a pick 'em, my book has both teams listed at -104.
The Jays have been beating up on lefties this year batting .308/.372/.474 against them.

Last game and the rubber match.  The Yanks are a decent favourite tonight at -146 while the Jays are at +138.  Hopefully tonight's game is better than yesterday's.
