I think it would have been an interested debate if Larry's legs didn't start fading in the late 80s. Right after losing to Detroit in 6 Games, early in the next season he went in for surgery and missed the whole year so you know the year before at least they were starting to go. If Boston had won that series and then beaten the Lakers it would have been 4 a piece. And that may have set up the ultimate tiebreaker for the end of the decade '89 Finals. Oh what could have been.

ESPN ranked the Lakers, although, as I said, last year people would say Boston because of the return to glory. So that debate is always to be continued. Look for the Kobe lead Lakers to get title 18 for us...  Phil got his 10th titles as a Laker coach, and that makes me feel sooooooo good. Now all we need is a player that can win 12 titles...
