Mavs are close to acquiring Marion

since marion has left phoenix he hasnt quite been the same. his biggest thing is his own self confidence and his whole wanting to be wanted, which was his demise in phoenix where the limelight was firmly on nash and stoudamire. i think marion will have a very good year i really do. say what you want about marion but his one of the most versatile defenders in the league and is one of the nba's best in finishing transistion opportunities. plus his a 10+ rebound guy night in night out, but he does have weaknesses like any other nba player does.

Marion is a garbage-man....he seems like he'd fit in with Dallas, but he's always been overrated. that said, Dallas is beginning to look somewhat legit again (if only for the next couple years)..

Sucks to not get Odom, but I rather have Gooden for 1 year than Gortat for 5 years. Rebounding is nuts now. Kidd, Howard and Marion all being outstanding rebounders at their position, throw in Gooden and you'll get the glass cleaned
