no-one can take this years world swimming championships seriousley. first off the new equipment (trunks and outfits) are to be banned starting next year yet 75% of the athletes are wearing them at the championships, swimming is in turmoil by the sounds of it, theres even talk that any records set at these championships will be void or will have a gigantic asterix next to them. for example rebbeca addlington (from the uk) smashed the olympic record last year in the 400m freesrtyle, the other day she finished 6th in the finals and was way off the pace, rebecca was one of the few athletes who choose to wear the more conventinal old school outfits that were deemed to be "non advantageous"

that's bullshit, people are afriad of advancing; people are swimming there asses off & they have to go digging for an excuse.

BTW, ESPN Bottomline said Phelps broke a swimming record today; the loss the other day is already forgotten lol.

Last year Team USA had the best suits and noone complained... now other swimmers have better suits and it's an outrage
