The Cornish people (Cornish: Kernowyon) are an ethnic group of the United Kingdom, originating in Cornwall.[2] Cornish may also refer to the many descendants of people who have come and settled in Cornwall and who have adopted this identity,[5][page needed] and there are also many people around the world who are descended from the Cornish diaspora who claim a Cornish identity.[6][7][8][9][page needed]
