sounds pretty good!

i feel like i hear a little dre influence on some of the beats. anybody else? i wonder if dre would have let him take some songs with him after they stopped working together.

Dre let him take songs, also yes - I can hear the influence. It's a damn good album. Buy two for hip hop. I am. Lol.

I'm gonna be honest and say I've never heard any of Rakim's solo albums, only Paid In Full

I'll definitely peep this though, Rakim's coming to my city soon too so who knows maybe I'll end up going  8)

The beats are. Listen to Walk These Streets. It's obvious that's a touched up Dr. Dre beat like Stu-B-Doo did for Ghetto Fabulous back in 1998 on Rass Kass' LP.
