The original is a classic for sure...but the remix is so much better.

Why is this tracks o awesome?

- Typical Dr. Dre crispiness  

- Excellently mixed  

- Bass is hypnotizing  

- Repetitive but at the same continually changing

- Claps are fucking hard

- Very funky whiny synthesizers

- Cool trumpets

- George Clinton's on it  

- Jewell's soulful voice

- Subtle twisted guitar in the background and this weird alien sound too  

- Epic guitar at the end with a magnificent climax  


What do you guys think about this track? Which Dr. Dre track can match it?

i have always loved this song. i bought the cassete single in 93/94 and this was on it. 

I think of this song when I listen to "Doggystyle" off the Lost Sessions.  It makes me realize how bad they fucked up "Doggystyle".  These tracks are very similar.  Both have George Clinton and Jewell.  Both have a cool solo guitar part.  Both have a nice bassline.  But one is a masterpiece and one sounds like shit.  Good job WideAwake.

Anyway, Let Me Ride Remix is probably the greatest remix i've ever heard.
