I assume the Obama comment means saying you can't succeed because you're black is more or less bullshit.  It's more you than them.

Actually, I hadn't thought about it from that angle, but in that context it makes sense to me. +1.

I figured it meant that now you have a black president things in the black community will be fixed up as soon as possible, i.e, New Orleans, Philly, etc.

  Me too. I was like thank God he went and said that. Hearing people call him "Fiddy Cent" just makes my skin crawl. It's like listening to a soccer mom say "Fa Shizzle".
