i've been really ponderin something someone asked me recently


i was in class tuesday ...and we were just listening to the radio and chilling cuz it was an easy week this week due to Thanksgiving....anways the teacher didn't want kiss 94.1 or hot 96.5 on becuase she said she hated rap. we couldn't have krab 106.1 on cuz she hated head banging music

so we could only listen to brock 99.3 a classic rock station....anways she was giving extra credit points out to anyone who could name the songs on the radio ....not to brag or nothing but i knew every song that came on and then finally my song (Dream on )came on i got all giddy and said "oh shit it's my 3rd all time favorite song" i was just playing around, i dont know what # it rank on my list but i really liked it and wanted to be 'funny' ...so then this girl i was sitting by said  "damn with all the songs you know i'd like to know what your 100 favorites songs are" i laughed and jsut said one day i'll type it up for you....then everyday after that she's all "wheres the list at?" so i'm making my


100 favorite songs of all time list



i also thought it'd be tight to see your guys as well

Well I'm done.  First off, it's all hip-hop, I like songs from other gendres but it would atleast 80% hip-hop anyway so just adding rock and pop songs would fuck things up.

I didn't put any songs from this year cause this stuff is still too new.  So the list is from 1985 to 2001.  I never really liked anything pre-Rakim & KRS-One with the one exception of Slick Rick so there is no "Rapper's Delight", "The Breaks" or anything like that on here.

Also there is a couple of tracks from new emcees that are classics or soon to be classics, these songs will probably be what "It's A Demo" is to G Rap or "Plug Tunin'" to De La.

A couple of tracks people will say are way too high and they probably are but there are fairly new songs that are just incredible to me so I had to have them up there.

I could never, ever , ever pick my favorite 100 songs.  In my mind, once a song reaches "10" status, it can't be better than any other 10.  So, the beatles alone I probably got 25 songs I consider perfect 10's.  Man, it'd take forever, there's just so many good songs, it'd be impossible to pick.  I can't do it.
