A mugging victim calmly walked away after being robbed – unaware she had a 15cm (6in) knife in her back.

Doctors have managed to save the life of a young woman in Russia that was so shocked and didn't realize a robber has stabbed her in her spine. The 22-year-old Julia P. from capital Moscow arrived home and under a state of shock told her parents she got robbed at the street despite trying to fight with a robber to protect her bag. Her parents have however got shocked seeing a knife stuck in her spine. They've alarmed the ER and doctors have soon helped to girl to survive the stabbing. Doctors have revealed the 22-year-old was that shocked that she did not realize she has got a huge knife stuck in her spin, news website Life.ru has informed.

Julia Popova, 22, had no idea the thug had plunged a kitchen knife in just centimetres away from her spinal cord until her stunned parents told her.
‘Shock had kicked in and her body prevented her from feeling any pain,’ said a doctor in Moscow. The blade was removed without injuring her spine.

This isn't the first time before people haven't felt it. Either during the attack you don't notice the pain and since its embedded it will sometimes won't even cause you pain (unless you move it). This is why when someone is stabbed, removing = the most painful part.
