A lot of irrelevant replies, as expected in G-spot, but I'll reply to some of the relevant posts.

Firstly i can understand why you want to clamp down on personal attacks but in the heat of the moment, before you can collect yourself, sometimes it happens.
Also I don't see the merit in locking the thread, surely if you insist on going after those launching personal attacks, then it should be them only and not the thread, which should be left active?

Any poster can have a bad day, it's more to get rid of the "usual suspects" and the flame-wars that ruin several threads.
Threads with good discussions/info should not be locked, I agree, but some threads sets itself up for failure.

Does anyone find these rules slightly hypocritical now??? Hook up spot is pretty much a no zone. lol by some of these rules some posters won't be able 2 post now cause all they do is either post the same exact thing or they'll remake a thread with slightly different wording (like a Capital letter on the first word or underscore instead of space or even a dash instead of space).

Honestly, I don't really hate it, cause lets be honest forums have gotten mad retarded in recent months and some mad shit has gone off, including some amazing exposures, but I guess Alias are out now. Pretty much all the rules might make dub better, but it will might make it boring.

Mainly aimed at the people who register multiple accounts to either: manipulate discussions for own gain, bump threads/post false positive reviews, launch cheap personal attacks/post personal info/adresses, spread ads all over the board, spew bullshit..

Surely a comedy account won't hurt, but if it doesn't fall in one of the afore-mentioned categories, mods won't even bother to check the IP's.

Other then that, how about a Archive Section??? This way threads like the N.W.A thread, or Old threads that won't ever get updated lock'd and Archived so when we want to search for a link we can search in that section only and not have to deal with all the random crap that pops up. Look for anything related to Death Row and you'll come up with ton of topics that have nothing but chat. Now I know the Hook up spot is there but people remake threads all the time asking for stuff already posted. How about just 1 organized area and when links go down, admins can PM the user to have em either repost, or request the files to post on premium account (so they never get lost).
