^no need for defense, i'm not knocking writing down lyrics.

i was just making the point that most, if not all mainstream guys are going to write out freestyles so people can be blown away & have some believe he just made it up on the spot.

you can tell the difference, but as long as it's hot, who cares?

Don't know if some of you realise it but Freestyle doesn't mean that it's rapped off the dome.

It's the exact opposite.. freestyle=prewritten

For some reason people started to think that freestyle means spitting off the dome.

^i always thought Freestyle could be written.

Freestyle meaning just rapping in any direction, saying whatever you feel like as long as it flows well.

it's just always a little more impressive when it's not written.

Yeah it's more impressive if it's actually good. But I'd rather take a 5 minute written radio freestyle from Joell Ortiz than 3 minute off the dome freestyle from Game (which he has been doing @ his live shows)

But any artist who's not afraid to freestyle off the dome publicly gets my respect. Even if it's not that dope.
