Kobe may be the most valuable player in the league until James shows he can win it all, but at the very least even you have to admit that between Shaq was the most dominant big man in basketball and a worthy MVP. The 90s Bulls teams were. The 80s Bulls teams had Jordan and me, and they still made huge runs. Imagine Jordan and Kareem in the 80s. The 90s Bulls look a lot more like the current Lakers; an all around deep team with one major star. The 3 peat Lakers were two major stars with one being the far and away best big man in the league those 3 years.

Some players do get more nervous when a shot/series/play means more...they don't play as loose, becuase there is more pressure on them, resulting in lackluster performace. Some players play better in those circumstances, because the pressure causes them to bring even more intensity when they have more to prove. The latter is far rarer than the former...and this applies to any profession (not just sports).


LeBron doesn't like facing the pressure...Kobe embraces it and elevates his game. Watch how excited Kobe gets and how much more intense his game becomes when the game is on the line as opposed to LeBron, who seemingly hides from it. That's how you differentiate the greats from the goats.
