After one listen, this album is exactly what i wanted and expected. It's feel good music, a mix of r&b and rap, mood music. I'm real glad he didn't switch it up too much from So Far Gone to his album, it's basically like a polished version of So Far Gone, which is very good.

Btw whoever didn't like Jay Z's verse on "Lights Up" only skimmed through it... That verse is full of gems.

Anyway, hard to judge after a quick listen but from the atmosphere it's exactly what I wanted it to be.

Don't listen to Drake looking for complex lyrics and indredible delivery or amazing singing abilities. Drake makes feel good urban pop music.
i'm glad somebody knows this guy ain't no hell of a singer, cause i swear some people think this guy is like marvin gaye or something, and i'm like wait to you hear this muthafucca sing live then you will checc yo fucc'n self haha yell

If we can compare some of these new generation hip hop rnb wonders albums it would go like this:

Kid Cudi>>>>>Wale>>BoB>>>>>Drake

i'd say Wale is better than B.o.B.; his singles were ill, but overall his album wasn't as good as Wale.

i plan to put J. Cole at the top of this list, but i can only hope.

Just had one quick listen. Average. Tracks with Jeezy, T.I., Jay and Wayne stood out. The album has a real cohesive vibe though and production is very nice and unique, mood musik. But his flow is terrible, he has one voice tone through out the whole cd, matter fact since his career started. Now it's time to see what's up with the replay value.

Speaking of new dudes: Cudi>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wale>>> Drake>>>>>>>>>>>>B.O.B.. Bob's album was terrible.

what's up with all the "production" compliments?

some average ass beats on this; the only ones i liked was Light Up, Over & Unforgettable; none of which sounded unique lol.

what did Drake pay to get a pass on this?

for real, none of the beats stand out as dope to me  ???  Even Timbo's beat which is good sounds like a throwaway Timbo beat compared to what he's given to Jeezy and other rap artists. Kanye has done WAY better with beats as well. Swizz has had worse than "Fancy" (at least its not all over the place like a lot of his beats) but too has had a lot better..

His & Cudi's album are on par.

BoB has the most disappointing release from the freshman.

Wale's album isn't re-memorable.

Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind
