I used to think freestyles had to be off the top of the head, but apparently that definition only happened in the 1990s sometime, before that a freestyle was always a written rhyme

Big Daddy Kane says it, so it's legit to me -

quite alot of artists can freestyle i know i can go for about 5 minutes(admittedly i have a few 'safety net' lyrics) its not actually that difficult

alot of texas rappers come off the top of the dome and will go at it none stop for like 20to 30mins..shit sometime 90mins

its alot of dope freestylers in the southi can name off head

the art is gone due to the battle rappin in shit

off the dome with it and freestyles always been different, and alot of times you mix em in, to me the point of rhyming was always to say the most knot shit to make fans react to it and anticipate whenever you choose to spit again yell
