Question about recording audio
«

So I tried recording audio for the first time today....except all I have right now is a crappy mic. So I'm buying a new mic. But problem is right now I'm using a laptop and I read that laptops come with a shitty ass sound card. So my question is, do I have to worry about that too will a good mic be enough to get decent audio?
