Bay Area CD's
« on: December 28, 2002, 10:21:37 PM »
To the peeps who recommended some cd's, I have picked up quite a few bay area cd's the last few days and damn they are all pretty dope.  Some of the cd's y'all recommended are really hard to find, like 11/5, none of their early albums were in stores and many others werent in stores either. I picked up all these albums used at several wherehouses(they didnt have most of these new, why????)

here are the ones I have gotten

E-40 - In A Major Way
E-40 - Tha Hall of Game
( I never have liked E-40 but these two albums are really really dope, are any of his others worth picking up or even close to these two?????)

C Funk - Three Dimensional Ear Pleasure
RBL Posse - An Eye For An Eye
Messy Marv - Messy Situations
Taydatay - Anticipaytion
Luniz - Bootleg and B-Sides
DenGee - Dengee Livin ( this whole album is produced by EASKI)
A-1 - Mash Confusion
Mac Dre - Stupid Doo Doo Dumb
Seagram - Reality Check (is this shit rare cause i found for 7 bucks and I know hes from the bay)
Dru Down - Can U Feel Me (this album is classic!!!!!!!)

I have these coming through the mail
Ant Banks - The Big Badass
Ant Banks - Do Or Die
(I absolutely love this guys production, its so funky and original)
Mr. Ill - The Rebirth

I stuck to the 94-98 stuff cause peeps on the siccness board told me this was the era when the tightest shit got released and that was the truth cause all these albums were good pickups, loved all of them at first listen

Are the newer albums by these guys(mac dre, dru down, e 40) as good as these older ones?????  I wont be surprised if the answer is no cause some of these are fuckin classic!!!!

You should check out the Young Black Brotha Records releases, especially:

Mac Dre - Young Black Brotha
Ray Luv - Forever Hustlin
Young Lay - Black n dangerous
Dubee - a.k.a. Sugawolf
Mac Mall - Illegal Business
Khayree presents: the Blackalation

All these albums are produced by Khayree, one of the most underrated producers from the west, IMO.

You also need to check out Cellski, he dropped some classic shit.

ive liked all E-40 albums...

MailMan EP
Federal EP
Ina Major Way
Hall Of Game
Element Of Suprise
Charlie Hustle: Blueprint of a Self Made Millionaire
Loyalty & Betrayl
Grit & Grind

but ina major way is his best to date...he will never make one that good imo...hall of game is second...Grit & Grind moved up to three...bumpin Charlie Hustle to four...Loyalty & Betrayl is fifth on MY list...Element Of Suprise was hella tight but im not a fan of double cds too much...sometimes its too much filler...Federal & Mailman are tight too...but theyre EPs...so u dont get the full effect of an album....but u still need to get THE CLICK - GAME RELATED...thats E-40, B-Legit, D-Shot and Suga-T...its classic
