Should I shell out for new phones?
« on: April 08, 2011, 06:53:31 AM »
Right now I rock 12 dollar headphones. Quality sounds good to me. But I'm considering investing some money in good headphones to hear all this sound I'm apparently missing that everyone always raves about.

But I don't want to become one of the people on this forum always bitching about mixing and mastering with every release. Its honestly not worth it to me if half of my music collection suddenly becomes unlistenable. Will I become an audio whore if I upgrade?

My $10 headphones from CVS have always been good enough for me. I buy 3 or 4 of them and just keep them in different spots like my car, book bag, wtc.

I wouldn't waste money on some douchebag's headphones, but that's just me.

btw not talking about Beats. I would shop around and get something that's actually worth its value.
