one thing i noticeed about the chicano-rapscene,, is that they adopted Kokane. every chicano-rapper in the west has at least 2 or 3 Kokane-hooks on all his albums

D.O.W.N. aka Kilo even managed to get him to rap in Spanish

Goes over my head how no one mentions one of the most talented muthafuckas around, regardless of whether its "chicano rap" at all: Proper Dos.

These muthafuckers released quality music in the early 90's and to this day, I am amazed at the fact that no monumental label pushed them to mainstream. They had it all, real fucking lyrics, bomb sound...

Do your research and learn. Consistency is what they were all about.
