Steinway St in Astoria if you're looking for sneakers and clothes.  As for record shops most of them are closing down.  I really couldnt tell you any because I haven't copped an album in over 2 years.

- The entire U Street area
- Chinatown (only if you're with some someone/some people)
- College Park bars in College Park Maryland
- Bladensburg Road in DC
- Silver Spring Maryland in tha day if u wana c some cheeks
- Tyson's Corner Mall in Virginia
- Harley Davidson Club in Camp Springs Maryland
- The seafood docks in DC day and night
- mlk memorial
- go go music spots

there's more but then again it really all depends on what you're looking for and who you'll be with and what kind of money you have.

NY: Times Square and Canal Street
Boston: Newbury Comics (not a comic shop, actually a pretty dope music/record store hopefully it's still there)
