His debut was suppose to come out June 2010. We got it a month ago lol.
It takes a long time for a new artist to get a debut album out. Because sales are so bad labels want to be positive they have a SURE BET on there hands. J Cole isn't the only example of taking 1-3 years after having a huge a buzz to get an album out -- look at Drake, B.o.B, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, etc. - shit all of them took a long ass time to get albums out after signing there major deal. Drake may have been the fastest but then again he was buzzing for a LONG TIME before he even signed his deal. I swear B.o.B took at LEAST three years and look at him now - he's basically as big as it gets.Same shit BIG KRIT and others are going through right now

I've forgotten about his debut already...in fact, the only thing I remember about it is the huge feeling of apathy and nothingness I felt for the guy and his music after listening to it.
