Nightmare on Elm St. 2 (2012)
« on: October 27, 2011, 02:21:10 AM »
After the 2010 Nightmare On Elm Street Remake ended the 2012 picks up 5 months after the ending. And follows the characters lives as in college everyone tries to move on

It will be in 3D, but no official word on anything else

They ruined the original IMO. They took a brutal child 'killer', and tranformed him into a "questionable" child abuser. They took the fear, and chilling factor from the Freddy character, also, Robert Englund was irreplaceable, unlike a Jason, or Michael Myers horror character with a "guy in a mask".

Ther remake started off well - Springwood diner, had that vintage feel to it, but after ten minutes, it was just another typical modern day horror

Does ANYONE really need this in their lives?

I agree about them ruining the first one also. They tried to somehow make us feel sympathy for Krueger, which surely goes against everything they did in the originals...and it didn't work.

yeah, they really fucked this one up, and now they want to do it in 3D....LMAO 3D is just stupid...unless its animation, like Beowolf was.

I decided to watch Halloween 1,2 (Rob Zombie) and the shit was sickness besides the beginning of 1 with the bad acting of the kid and the mother.... get passed that and the movie "sound and action wise" was amazing. I originally disliked them but after watching the Original Halloween 1,2 I thought to myself how can you beef this shit up and Rob did it justice. He said he doesnt want to redue 3......but if youve seen 3 then u would agree. lol
EVERY LAST ONE OF ''Y-O-U'' BELIEVE THAT DR. DRE HAS MADE THESE SONG's FOR ''Y-O-U''.
THE REALITY IS THAT THE SONG's ARE ''ABOUT Y-O-U'' !!!!!!

I normally don't talk like this but halloween 3 SUCKED A$$!  And darn it >:( that stupid silver shamrock song in that movie is partially in my head.

And I seen the original NOES 2[3 & 4 also] that one sucked also.  Wish that madness of the constant remakes would stop.  Hey how about a sequel to Bones, Dr. Giggles[didn't see] or even Hellraiser[pinhead] instead?

Jackie Earle Haley is a good actor, but there was no point in re-casting Freddy Krueger  when Robert Englund is still around and could have easily returned for the role.  It was like they felt the need to recast it, just because they were doing the remake.
As far as the story, I didn't find too much fault with it.  The micro-sleep idea was an interesting element to introduce.  But really, what's the point in remaking all of these classics.  This movie, in no way, improved on the original.

DUMB MUTHERFUCKERS SHOULDA MILKED ROBERT ENGLUND TILL THE DAY HE DIED. THE REMAKE WASNT THE WORST MOVIE EVER, BUT THE FACT THAT IT WAS A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET MOVIE MADE ME DEPRESSED.

if any1 remembers, there was actually lots of talks about a "Nightmare on Elm Street" prequel starring Robert Englund before the remake came out....when that was scrapped, all hope was lost.

The original to nightmare 2 is a gay movie. The producers even admitted this

These remakes are so played out, I'd rather watch another Freddy vs Jason lol, at least something original.

It was alright. They kept all the original features such as the high school, same house, same street etc, but one thing they messed up on was bringing in another guy to do Freddy at the start, and he was like a damn robot (check the high school shower scene) and then they brought him back

Can remember watching a documentary about how the producers were admitting that it was a purposely made gay Freddy movie.

They had a gay high school gym teacher
The main character "jesse" himself was gay as well.
They picked the name"jesse".
They had a sign on his bedroom door saying "no girls allowed"
They have freddy "inside" of his body
They have Jesse wanting to stay the night with a boy rather than with his "girlfriend" with one of the most cringing lines when hesays "Can I sleep with you tonight"

The entire movie was about Jessie wanting to come out, and Freddy coming out of him. Not a lot of people will notice and take all the girly dancing he does, and other antics as your typical 80's pop movie behavior

huh? im pretty sure robert englund played freddy throughout the whole movie...englund even plays the bus driver without the freddy make-up in the classic opening bus sequence. as for the gay elements, it's there, but i think u readin into it too much. i know the actor they used was gay as hell and a fuckin pussy in the movie, but shit was funny as hell, the way he'd scream like a girl and what not. freddy using him to kill people had nothin 2 do with him being "inside" of him in a gay way, lmao, thats just people lookin way 2 deeply into it....i know what u mean with the gay elements, but it aint like they had gay sex scenes n shit. it was just a faggot who lived in the elm street house, and his gym teacher was gay, as well.. as far as jesse wanting 2 "come out" and freddy "coming out of him", i dunno about all that shit... but what i do know is that jesse was dancing gaysteez as fuck, and definitely scared of the pussy....still, it's "help urself, fucker!" all day errday, yadafeelme? we actually workin on a new song feat freddy, "you've got the body, i've got the brain" with Klientel. shit's classic.

The start of the movie wasn't filmed at the start. They redone/included those bits later on once they got Robert Englund back. Originally, his agent was asking for too much money, so New Line Cinema thought they could just get any old guy in that they wanted (that it's just a guy in a mask) and later realised that he was nothing like Robert, no posture, attitude or personality like the original Freddy, then eventually gave in and agreed to the amount to get Robert back in.

You'll see the other guy in the shower scene as he walks off after killing the gym teacher (you can't see his face) and notice that he is nothing like the original Freddy. I think they only had 1/2 more segments like that, which were later removed. There's nothing reported on the internet about it. This is from a documentary about the 2nd movie

This is how gay the movie is:
