Drake Lists His 5 Favorite Albums of All-Time
« on: November 01, 2011, 04:00:11 PM »
[Jay’s] Black Album. Clipse, Lord Willin’. Uh, this is not an album, but The Little Brother/[Mick] Boogie mixtape [And Justus For All], that was like pivotal in my life. And then I would have to say, uh, I say [B.I.G.’s] Life After Death. And then I will say a toss up between The Love Below and Aquemini,” he said.

Also mentioned Tha Carter II & Doggystyle

Props to him for keeping it original but still naming dope ass albums like "Lord Willin"  & "Tha Carter 2" (obviously not 2 of the greatest but dope albums and that's his opinion)

Lol y'all rather hear All Eyez On Me, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, Ready to Die & Death Certificate.

It's at least cool to hear something different.

Those are classic albums. Son listed a fucking mixtape in his top five album list. Love below?! That album was ass cheeks. Andre singing is not the business.

Artistically, a lot of people LOVE "The Love Below." Look at the success it had. I'm not much of a fan personally but heck I know a lot of Outkast fans that dug the fuck outta it.

I'll leave it like this; he's entitled to his own opinion. However, me & him could never have a serious discussion about Hip Hop.

The success was based completely from hey ya and big bois single. Artistically it sucked dick, the only people that enjoyed that shit were douchebags. Let's be real, nobody still listens to that crap. Cee-lo green can make great albums singing. Andre can't.

All the albums he listed are great. What the fuck are people complaining about? If he was naming some wack or average shit I would understand but for sure his top 5 is more interesting than the ones that just copy the albums everyone else talks about. For the record, imo Love Below >>> Speakerboxxx.

And again, love below was garbage. A bunch of bad prince impersonations and half baked ideas. If he named a prince album I could respect that, but some shitty pseudo wanna be album shows drake has shit taste and hasn't listened to music made before 1990.

True. But that's like complaining that half the people here liking All Eyez On Me over Me Against the World. You can bitch about anyone's list not having a particular album on it, but its a moot thing to do.
