according to cham, vanilla ice was the king of hip-hop at one point lol, smh

Yeah, because that's what I said. One hit wonders are kings. ::)

Wayne's been in the driver seat for at least five years now; maybe more. Don't put words in my mouth because you can't handle the fact you're stuck in the past.

nelly was the king of hip-hop in the early 2000's, wasnt he?

u dumb faggot

Not really. He didn't define Hip Hop. There is a difference between what Nelly meant to the game then & what Eminem meant to the game after The Marshall Mathers LP came out.

Lil' Wayne is the by far, uncontested, the biggest, most popular, most well known, most successful name out of anybody in the South right now. Hence why he's king. It's a simple concept that you're trying your absolute hardest to disprove out of bitterness.

and again, in hip-hop, skill+talent+respectability has more to do with who holds the crown than record sales. if the thread title was "most popular artist in the south", you might have a point.

if you rap the best never made you king of anything . so that kind of thinking is wrong . to be a king in music you have to make good music & you have to change something like scarface .  scarface is not best rapper but makes good music & is one hell of story teller  unlike dre 3000 who can rhyme his ass off but does not make good music all time & is not good story telling . being best & being king are not the same thing . scarface is also the king because helped put the south before anybody .
anybody who thinks vanilla ice is better then nelly is dumb ass hating white boy . there is no way in hell vanilla ice is better then nelly  & that is fact .  nelly would kill the stupid white boy on the mic . go hang out with juggalos with your bad test .

Andre 3000 isn't a good story teller?? really??? and he didnt change shit? have you heard Big Krit? #1 southern rapper right now is heavily influence by Kast.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDieZ4dgQ9Q" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/VDieZ4dgQ9Q</a>

lol andre doesnt make good music all the time? outkast had 4 classic albums in a row.

i never said anything about outkast only andre 3000. big boi was always the one who was good at story telling not Andre 3000.  what did Andre 3000 change? andre 3000 solo album musically was wack compared to big boi's . I know who big k.r.i.t. is since 2006? how about you . big k.r.i.t is more pimp c then Andre 3000. big boi was always my favorite of outkast . andre 3000 always comes off like hippster werido.
