A lot of his beats are West Coast inspired. Kinda like Erick Sermon, if you see them producing for a West Coast artist it still feels authentic (although E-Dub is way ahead of DB).

Erick Sermon had that sound before the West even developed that sound and thrived on it... kinda odd and anachronistic to say E-Dubb is west coast inspired.
