Chelsea have been told to forget about a bid for Brazil starlet Lucas Moura until after the 2014 World Cup.
The player’s influential agent, Wagner Ribeiro, says he has told Roman Abramovich directly that the playmaker is in no rush to leave Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian club have claimed that Chelsea made a £32million bid for Lucas, but Ribeiro insisted the offer was never formalised because Stamford Bridge owner Abramovich is fully aware of his intentions.

'Lucas doesn’t want to go,’ Ribeiro told ESPN Brazil. ‘He doesn’t want to leave Brazil before the 2014 World Cup.
‘I was at Roman Abramovich’s house with the Israeli businessman Pini Zahavi. If I said that the price was €40m (£32m), he would pay it.
‘But there was no proposal because he knows that Lucas wants to stay in Brazil.’

Ribeiro was the agent who who negotiated Robinho’s move to Manchester City in 2008, when he regretted not being able to secure a move to Chelsea.
He also represents Santos star Neymar, who rejected Chelsea in August 2010 and has also pledged to stay in Brazil till 2014.
