Doggfather was near release anyway - Snoop told at House of Blues somethin like "I know u waitin for this CD". It would look diffrent if Pac wasnt shot.

I've been bumpin some doggfather songs like crazy recently and it make me come back to this thread.
Honestly I didn't have time to check out the whole opening post, but are these really ALL of the songs that were at one point intended for the album or are there some songs missing ?
Because if there are all songs here I might start a little tracklist improving discussion like in my other thread bout the "Da Game.." album....

Yea it was stupid move. Im not shocked that they didnt use If There a Cure, because of ctotally other climate compares to whole disc, but Street Life is excellent for Doggfather...

I don't think Suge wanted any 2Pac features on the album.  I think he wanted to show that Snoop was capable of dropping a solid follow-up album without a heavyweight feature that might standout a bit too much, much like when Tha Dogg Pound dropped 'Dogg Food' without any Dr. Dre beats included (although this is, of course, up for argument).

Yea and Doggfather was fail compare to Doggystyle :P

And are the songs walk the walk & come on home unreleased ? Or did they leak at some point or were released with a different Name ?
Same goes for word on the streets & gangsta life as well as Get Up To Get Down, Bugsy, Stone Cold Corleon, Been So Long, No Recognition, Droppin Bombs, In The Rain & hot line
Lots of songs id like to know about, maybe someone here can help...

Just found out that some of the tracks were LB Crew songs...
But anyway:

How about leftover tracks from the album ?
I know that "Dogg Collar" from The Chronic Re-Lit was intended for the album, same goes for "Work It Out" with Shaq & Mista Grimm...
Other songs from The Chronic Re-Lit, the Pac songs and others are all on the timeline.
And I also think some of the Death Row Lost Sessions Track were intended for this album, there are songs that fit perfectly with the "doggfather vibe" on there....

'Caught Up' for sure, since it's got Charlie Wilson on it, who was all over the album.

That song was on "The Lost Sessions" if im not mistaken ?
But yeah definetely a doggfather leftover.

From what I remember it was snoop who decided not to put any 2pac tracks on there after his death as he didn't think it was appropriate at the time. I think he said he felt he would be profiting from his death and did it out of respect for his mother.
Even though pac had a falling out with him, snoop had mad love and respect for him even though he didn't want to get involved with the bad boy beef to the level pac was taking it to.
