In the film CB4 Chris Rocks Character "Albert Brown" Decides to become a Rapper and decides to steal the Identity of a Local Big Time Drug dealer named Gusto.

William Leonard Roberts II in real life decided to become a rapper after College didn't pan out, decided to become a rapper stealing his Identity from a Legendary Big Time Drug Dealer on the other side of the fucking country Freeway Rick Ross.

MC Gusto decided to use the real Gustos Stories, image, and Life to fuel his music. Gaining popularity, While the Real Gusto was rotting away in a Jail Cell.

Rick Ross Also used Freeways real life stories, image, and life to fuel his music and gained popularity while Freeway was rotting away in prison.

When the Real Gusto found out MC Gusto was using his Identity (While he was in prison) after MC Gusto was Rich and successful he became pissed and disgusted and retaliated (Though in the movie it was violent).

After Rick Ross was starting to become successful it leaked he used to be a Correctional officer. Freeway was still in Prison at this time when he found out (just like in the movie), When he got released (Unlike the Movie in which Gusto escaped, Freeway did his time like a man and earned his Freedom) came out mad and started retaliation (Not through Violence means but through legal).

However in the end of CB4 Chris Rock's character realize it's better to just be himself and not someone else, and his Group continue to be successful. This imo is where Officer Ricky left and didn't see.


Because Officer Ricky get up the charade, and pissed off even more street people, and is canceling tours, and getting shot at and being threaten.


Honestly though I gotta wonder if he got the Idea from the movie, because Christ it's a little uncanny.

I wonder how many people caught on to that comparison  but your right on the money with that. How Ricky managed to stay relevant after all these years is quite something. The fat fucker knows how to pick some beats cuz even tho I don't really listen to his lyrics, his beats be on point and that's what makes it tolerable.
