What a stupid article. The writer doesn't even compare Kobe to Harden. He just rants about how poorly the Lakers did last season then talks about how good James Harden is. There isn't any real argument made that Harden is better other than Kobe is injured and getting older. He then says how poorly the Lakers did, blaming it all on Kobe and then talking about how good the Rockets did, saying it was all Harden. He conveniently left out that as bad as the Lakers were last season, they still had more wins than the Rockets.

EDIT: Misread some stats.

Kobe had great numbers because he had Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol.

If Kobe had such great teammates, than shouldn't he have inferior numbers? You know, since his teammates are carrying a bigger load? That wasn't the case. Kobe scored more points with a better FG%. He also outrebounded Harden despite playing with two 7-footers. Plus Harden's game dropped in the playoffs. His FG% was  39%, his assists dropped and he averaged 4.5 turnovers a game.

Exactly, they just divert attention away from Kobe. Allowing him to get better looks.

Fair enough, but even when Kobe was playing with scrubs he averaged better FG% than that. And his playoff FG% was never that low (minus his rookie year coming off the bench). Kobe's FG% is the weakest part of his game and he still did better than Harden.

I thought James Harden played with scrubs.  Shouldn't that drive his numbers down since he was the Rockets entire offense.  Kobe has the greatest coach, point guard, power forward, center, fan base ever to help him right?

I was saying that even if his point was valid, it still didn't prove the overall argument.

I don't know if you're trolling or being stupid, but both are good reasons to end this argument.
