I'll take Nas, Jay, BIG, Big L, Big Pun, Rakim, KRS-One, Wu-Tang, AZ, Big Daddy Kane, Mobb Deep and the list goes on, over one classic Snoop CD and Eazy's struggle bars saved by production.

Pac, to me, is better than everyone I named, but it would go:

1. Pac
2. Everyone I named
3. The rest of the West, besides some Cube.

ok out of your list the only ones that really count are RAKIM, NAS, B.I.G. & THE WU, the rest all had lyrics but no real impact like cube or nwa did, cube predicted the riots before they happened, nwa was the first gangsta rap group to go number one with no radio play or promotion, nwa changed the game, cube re-shaped the game & pac murdered it ....go back to the lab and do your homework rookie ;) we all know what pac did so no need to repeat that...

yea i can never diss rakim, nas, the wu or even biggie, even tho biggie rode off pac's buzz but rakim is the god mc no doubting that, nas is the continuation of rakim, the wu is the east coast response to nwa as a real rap crew & biggie did have flows forever, the rest are just not in that level...

I can honestly agree with that from a lyrical standpoint. There were some underground gems from the west back then. Tha Liks were bubbling, Xzibit, Pharcyde, Heiro, etc but mainstream wise the east had a nice run in the mid to late 90's

I mean, I'm judging it purely from a lyrical standpoint because it's silly to compare whose a better rapper off of impact and production. We're talking bars with a mix of flow and delivery and the East has always had that over the West besides Pac. And I guess Kendrick now.

Funny, you mention Xzibit. Easily in my top five all-time lol.

I would take Biggie Jay and Nas over Pac lyrically in the 90s

I mean, yeah. It isn't one of those obvious things like every rapper who picked up a mic can outrap Snoop Dogg.

It's a debatable subject.

WES WES!

And, he also mentioned kurupt. He is always letting y'all know the west been had this on lock. Y'all pussy Mfs just don't like to admit the shit.
The same rappers y'all try to diss from the Wes, he is constantly letting y'all know to KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF!!

Wants QUIK to produce his next album. The man respects and loves his peers and coast.

I like this Kendrick. And he stays ripping the CALI!!!

Kill game u bastards!! WEST COAST all MFN day.

The best rappers to ever do it. Music was just scared to admit it.
The industry tried to make take away from the fact that the west has the best rappers by trying to make it about the way our rappers dress and be about that life. So Kendrick, don't "LOOK" like that scary thug west coast gangsta rapper, came looking square, made y'all listen the fuck up. Once y'all heard loud n clear, the chucks and LA hats and all that. Hahaha. Smart man!

Wes Wes, yes yes!!!
..................................................

I got a New York critic in a choke hold
He dissed my record cause he didn't like my vocals
Now I'm showin him the meaning of loco
I'm not friends with my peers, so I'm overlooked

I'm payin suckers back for all the years of dissin me
But now I'm rollin, and there ain't no stoppin me
Rodney O and Joe down with the psycho
Back to the hood, fool, but you don't hear me though

(Funk, funk, funky)

[ VERSE 4: Joe Cooley ]
L.A.'s the place where the hardcore is happenin
That's the way it is, so that's the way we're rappin
Some New Yorkers don't know where we're comin from
And one had the nerve to try to diss Compton?
I take it personal when you diss my hood, son
Now you got me wanna break you off some (yeah)
Now you got me wanna break you off some (yeah)
Now you got me wanna break you off somethin
