Magic Johnson Responds to LeBron James Not Including Him in All-Time Top 3

BY TRISTAN THORNBURGH (SOCIAL MEDIA STAFF) ON AUGUST 22, 2013

Earlier this week, LeBron James named his top three NBA players of all time, which included Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Julius Erving. The first player left off of LeBron's list was Magic Johnson, and today Magic took to Twitter to address his No. 4 ranking.

Magic obviously respects LeBron's game and acknowledges that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but he seems slightly offended that he was left off his list.

top 5 for sure

top 3?  very debatable.  i can't justify putting him over MJ or Bird...and Bill Russell won 5 MVP's and 11 freaking rings.  how can you argue against that?  lol

Magic is widely regarded as >Bird...and Dr J over Magic is just blasphemous

Lakers take another L

I'll take Bird over Magic because he was a better shooter, scorer and he averaged 10 rebounds a game at the same time.  and one of the best passing forwards of all time.

now Dr. J....I think that's just Lebron trying to be a hipster lol

Dream didn't match up against a bunch of 5'8" white dudes.  He played and dominated during the greatest era of centers in league history.  But we aren't talking about Dream we are talking about the Lakers taking another loss and crying about it.  Nice strawman argument.

But since I'm bored I'll play your game:

If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him.

lol @ Magic talking about how much rings matter & left Bill off the Tweet.

Citizen-Y

If rings are the biggest thing where is Robert Horry on these lists.
