Is Wudu the arabic word for Voodoo?

No it is not.

Explanation of Wudu:

There are some arab words:

Noor: Light
Salat: Prayer
Sunnah: Tradition of the prophet
Wudu: Spiritual washing/cleaning

It is not coincident that you wash your hands, feet, eyes, nose, mouth.

Wudu and voodooo both sound elaborately ritualistic.
Interesting connection.

Are you asking because you don't know yourself or do you feel the need to confront me with something you think you know better than me?

Let me refrain that question.

If you or me where ever lucky enough 2 meet prophet Moshe on the other side and could ask him what is your religion.
What answer according to you he will give?

I don't like to speculate or answer for someone other than myself.
And I don't believe in luck.

let me give you mine perspective.

Moshe can not give the anwer Judaism. He never heard of it in his lifetime.
The name Judaism, is not mentioned in the Torah, nor the Mishnah, nor the Talmud.
If it is mentioned please correct me.

He would probably say. My religion is Total submission to the will of (G_d)  HaShem.
You can not disagree with that term.

Islam is the only religion that is named by G_d himself. It is mentioned in the Quran.
You know what it means?
Islam means Total submission to the will of God in arabic.

Your perspective is nothing new to me, many muslims share it with you.

Probably denotes speculation.
The truth is neither you nor I KNOW what Moses would answer.
And for you to say what I can or cannot disagree with is somewhat ignorant and assumptious.
The G_d of Moses had a very specific name according to MY faith and that is the G_d my people (Israel) are asked to submit to and no other god.

I have no problem relating to the etymological meaning of islam but I am not a follower of muslim doctrine.
Neither was Moses since the Qu'ran did not exist when he walked the earth so don't try to make him a muslim and speak on his behalf.

Exactly. I agree with you.

Islam is not a new religion.
it is rather an continuation of what was revealed to all the Great prophets of G_d.

It is not an attack on your religion, which in mine opinion is the same Religion.  We have some issues, yes. But A jew or a Christian is my brother in faith.

For your information: Muslim means nothing else then one who submits to the will of G_d.
That you held Sabaat yesterday is because of your submission to the will of G_d.

A muslim (to me) is one that accepts the Qu'ran as the written word of Allah and that Muhammad was his prophet.
The basic tenet for a muslim is that there is no god but Allah...
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ الله
As I understand it this is the foundation for Islam as a religion.
And by that religious definition I am NOT a muslim.
If you simply go by the etymological meaning of the word muslim: "to be whole" then it is of course something different and may be discussed from a different perspective.

Since you are trying to tie everything together by a certain lineage how do you feel about the Bahai faith?
They say that they are a continuation of the same lineage as well.

Aladin could have talk about the "Primordial Tradition". From Adam (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh).
