This guy had done battles before, but he's a writer.  His opponent didn't show up so they asked me to fill in.  He had been writing rhymes expecting to face someone else so supposedly he is a lot better than this when he has time to prepare.

Like I told Remedy, supposedly this guy is good when he writes but he had written for someone else and our battle was scheduled last minute.

yeah.. most of these guys write.  The dude who was running this thing and set up the event is probably the second most talented battler in the city.  His name is Abysmal Sevant and he writes.  According to him, battlers used to freestyle until one year at Scribble Jammed they figured out Thesaurus was actually writing rhymes and claiming he was freestyling.  But it started a trend and since then it's a known thing that most battlers write their rhymes.  Like that's the trend over at King of the Dot they write out and rehearse all that shit.

...but you know me, I don't look up to King of the Dot, you know I've always looked up to rappers like Kurupt.  And Kurupt was talking about battlin' back in the day in one of those recent interviews and he said the freestylers used to destroy everyone, and that he came up in that kind of scene.  So I always respect that type of shit more.

thx homie.. well I'm on the lookout for more events and shit is gettin more organized in the city.  There was a very small battle scene in KC but it was unorganized and rarely occured.  But now there's one dude that has really stepped up to the plate to make this shit organized and consistent, and keep buildin.... shouldn't be long before I get to take on a more formidable opponent, but nice to get my feet wet a bit first...
