Lil Wayne - Which "The Carter" was the best?
« on: April 17, 2014, 09:44:53 AM »
I gotta go with II which I initially didn't fuck with back at the time of its release since that's right around when folks around here started jumping on the Weezy bandwagon and I thought he was massively overrated, looking back I'd rather he was dominating the game at least when he spit like this, I fuck with the overall sound and vibe of the album now

III grew on me with time too but that was also a way overhyped release lol

You're forgetting that leaked unreleased Carter (of I or II, I forgot) which was mainly produced by Mannie Fresh. That album would get my vote.

The Carter is an option in the poll lol

unless you're talking about those Evil Empire mixtapes with all the leaked tracks that got cut from the album(s)

2 by far.

3 was actually pretty dope. A complete 180 from 2 but still a dope product overall

Had some nice songs. But that's when he seemed to stop giving a fuck and went completely commercial, putting out "Lollipop" as the first single.

No, I'm talking about a completely different album. It was labeled as an advance.

I gave 3 the most spins, so I'm going with 3.
