Dial up gang, do you remember?

*Getting computers putin in 96*

*rubs hands like Birdman as he downloads a RealAudio from SnoopsDoggHouse*

*someone downstairs picks the phone up and hears a load of screeching and squawking as your download slows from 10kbps to 1kbps*

"I'mmmmm ussssiiiinngggg itttttttttt"

Tell me that wasn't the ish? We were brave new explorers in brand new frontiers and whilst other people made money of dot coms and all whizz we were too busy collecting unreleased westcoast bootlegs in pristine RealAudio format.

You tell me who won? I play them, they bump.

The very fact that a computer could connect to a phone line and a song from the other side of the world could appear was legit mindblowing.

Just the sheer evolution we've witnessed in such a small chunk of time is spectacular. Can you imagine the leap in 20 years from now when 5G is looked at like dialup and handsets are actually set into peoples hands?

So humans sat around doing nothing for eons till someone thought of a wheel then they chilled for ages until someone said "Hai guize! Meekro cheep" and then here we are? Word?
