Jay-Z In My Lifetime Vol 1
« on: March 17, 2016, 02:29:37 PM »
What do you all think about this album?

I know its not considered one of his best but ive just played it today for the first time in years
and i actually really like it.
Im not sure if its because it is nostalgic and takes me back but i enjoyed listening to it...i dont really think there is a bad track on there.

I think its much better then volume 2 & 3 and La Roc Familia

besides "I Know What Girls Like", "Sunshine" (good beat though), and "Face Off" that whole album rides  8)

definitely a few classics from Jay on there, "Imaginary Player" was ahead of its time and I still play "The City Is Mine" often

Oh yeah "I know what girls like" is worst track on there. Ive always skipped that track since the album came out
so forgot it was even on there.

Today i found new love for "Imaginary Player"...i always over looked that track when i was younger but i realised today
how good it actually is  8)

Average at best for me. Too much filler but I do love the jam with Blackstreet. That sax tho.

Album is trash like everything Jay has done behind the mic... just an average MC with great marketing
