"In this brand new interview Anderson .Paak, the rising star and newest protege of Dr. Dre, reveals what his mentor told him about the Death Row days and the reality of being on that notorious label, shares the backstory of his collab with Macklemore and the amazing actor Idris Elba, known from “The Wire”, and compares the work ethic and studio tricks of DJ Premier and Dr. Dre. The California MC/singer/producer/drummer also explains what 2Pac and his music meant to him growing up and how it influenced him as a young man, plus speaks about the evolution of his sound between “Venice” and “Malibu” and gives a hint of what we should expect from the Aftermath debut album – and that’s still not everything you will hear in our 20-min interview. Enjoy!"

Jump to 3:10 for the Death Row bit.. Like old fart said above it's nothing special. Just some dude who has a stupid bull ring through his nose talking like a 5 year old boasting to his parents that he made it into special school. 'And Dr Dre said I'm special and that I can wipe my own nose but I wasn't wiping my nose because what I was actually wiping was my anus which is actually my mouth'

Yawwwwwwwnnnnnnn

It's aint easy to compare them like that, Anderson is more of a singer than a rapper, which is cool too and gives him recognition among different audience groups but yeeah, Bishop was one of Dre's most promising proteges
