"The 7th Letter/Ja Rule/50 Cent/Christina Aguilera"

NEW YORK, New York, Monday, April 21, 2003 – It has come to our attention that the public perception of The 7th Letter and Murder Inc/Def Jam recording artist Ja Rule is as close friends. This has come from the two being seen at the same social venues throughout New York City. This perception is completely and utterly untrue. Actually the very opposite.

Ja Rule has publicly taken cheap shots at our artist because of his believed association with Shady/Aftermath recording artist 50 Cent. Up until now we have advised The 7th Letter to keep silent on the Ja Rule/50 Cent war of words and stay away from the controversy. This advisement is lifted. The three artists hale from Queens, NY, so the tension is about more than their careers. We have talked with Globetrotter Entertainment (Bridgeport, CT) about doing a show with 50 Cent, which upset Ja Rule and his record label. The 7th Letter has performed alongside numerous artists such as Royal Flush, Tracy lee, and the legendary Kool G. Rap, whom Ja Rule has had past disagreements with.

I officially quote our artist, The 7th Letter as saying, "Green is not a good color for Ja Rule. He should stop acting like a baby and realize that 50 Cent is the hottest thing out right now, and just deal with it. No one respects an artist that can’t take the good with the bad. He doesn’t want a piece of me or my camp. Careers fade, that’s just the name of the game. It’s called retirement… he should think about it.

"PERSONAL LIFE"

On another topic, there has been speculation that The 7th Letter and pop star Christina Aguilera have been seeing each other in a personal atmosphere. It is our policy not to comment on the personal lives of our artists. Whom they are or are not involved with is an in-house matter and is discussed as such, even if the person is of famous stature such as Ms. Aguilera. Thank you for your patience and time.
