If you're a boxing fan, this whole thing should make you cringe.

Mayweather would absolutely destroy him in a boxing match. We're going to pour hundreds of millions into a fight worse than Mayweather/Pacquiao. Completely sold on them talking shit to each other in press conferences leading up to fight night.

Yeah I never understood this.  I see the appeal of the fight, but the reality is that Macgregor isn't a pro boxer.  And for him to step in the ring with the best boxer right now is just crazy.

Oh yeah, as I say this; I admit I'm going to fall for it, watch all the conferences & pay for the fight lol. But the fight itself should be a shitshow.

I fully expect McGregor to be getting washed by Round 4 & start throwing kicks.

Yup. Mayweather-Pacquiao II would be a way closer fight, it's just that people aren't going to care for it as much as the previous one, even with Pacquiao having a fully healed rotator cuff and coming off of two one-sided wins complete with entertaining knockdowns. And Mayeeather-Canelo II would be a better fight too.

People would watch this but I don't know if it's a sound investment to give Floyd a $100 million guarantee for this. They could cover it, in theory, but I don't see a lot of money being left behind for the promoters putting it on. You'll need at least 2.5 million buys to cover just the guarantees for both fighters, and that number isn't an easy task, no matter who it is.

I don't even see the point of this. Connor can't win here.

They should find the best boxer in the UFC at any weight and have him fight Mayweather using UFC gloves. Open weight fight. Everyone will just assume Floyd will win and Dana can bet the farm on his guy to win with a knockout.

I wouldn't say that's the ONLY fight, it's just the most realistically competitive fight out there for Floyd.  People can hate on the other options but you know most people will still watch it anyway.  In terms of what would be the most popular in terms of PPV buys:

1.  Floyd vs. Macgregor
2.  Floyd vs. Manny II
3.  Floyd vs. GGG
4.  Floyd vs. Canelo II

But in terms of what fight fans would want to see, in terms of intrigue:

1.  Floyd vs. GGG
2.  Floyd vs. Macgregor
3.  Floyd vs. Manny II
4.  Floyd vs. Canelo II

And in terms of difficulty for Floyd:

1.  Floyd vs. GGG
2.  Floyd vs. Manny II
3.  Floyd vs. Canelo II
4.  Floyd vs. Macgregor

Floyd ain't fighting anyone but Conor or maybe Pacquiao II.

& it's only gonna be one fight, go 50-0 & ride off into the sunset.

Floyd wants zero part of Canelo or GGG at this stage. Those are two prime candidates for 49-1 with one right hand.

I agree except on Canelo. Floyd already beat him, and while I'm sure he's improved in the last few years, I don't think he's leaps and bounds ahead of where he was before. He'll do better this time around but Floyd's already figured him out, and it's not like Floyd is that far off of his prime condition.  But with Canelo already stepping into middleweight and growing into that, you know Floyd would probably want a 152 catchweight again, so that alone might kill the fight.

They've agreed to terms on the fight. UFC will be filing a legal challenge to prevent this from happening.

GGG gonna destroy Jacobs in a month & there's a chance we'll get him vs. Canelo by the end of the year.

Depends how pussy Canelo's people are.

Within the same day he denied it.
