XBOX vs PS2

im gonna buy a console within one week..

atm i play the xbox only game Panzer Dragoon Orta. it has a rating of 93% on a serious site were halo got 88 %. it dope as a motherfucker but a lil bit short.

Let me give you my advice...

People will come in and shout to get the PS2, as will people to get the Xbox.  I suggest you get the Xbox.  It has a built in hard drive(no memory card needed at all), 733mHz(3x that of PS2, which runs at 233., Xbox Live(which is better than PS2 online due to nearly NO lag and a friends list), and some awesome games out and coming out in the next few monthes(Brute Force, Counter Strike, Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, Starcraft: Ghost, and HALO 2!!)

Right now, PS2 has more games out than Xbox(they should, seeing as it came out a whole year before Xbox).  But if you want better graphics and more power, go with the Xbox.

PS: I'm waiting for Smooth to come in, quote me, and say I'm wrong.

is there some good "beat em up" games for the Xbox??... i know there is "Mortal Kombat 4" and "Dead Or Alive 3" ... but is Tekken or Virtua Fighter eve gonna get released for Xbox?? (specially Teken)

get PS2. better games and better controller, who cares about all those extra features when its supposed to be a video game system not a computer. ps2 is like a perfect system if you want to enjoy playing video games at its best

xbox,and if you hate the xbox controler you can buy a adapter that lets you use a ps2 controller so thats not even a issue

and somebody is definately gonna come in here shoutin GTA vice city,and let me tell you,its not all its cracked up to be

get X-BOX becuase for now its the best system out rite now but hey also think about gamecube even though its not as great as
X-BOX it is almost up to the level of X-BOX but the only problem is the controller (people i own gc im just telling the truth of what many people say the problem is with gamecube)well since ur asking about ps2 and xbox get X-BOX!!!!!!!

I got Box and PS2 both. I use the Box more. PS2 broke 4 months after I bought it. Had to pay 130 bucks to get it fixed. I'm unimpressed by sony personally.

Yo man, what kinda games do you like?  That might have an effect.  Also, for everyone's info the Rockstar games (GTA, Vice city) with be coming to X-Box next year (check at xbox.ign.com).  Anyways, your game preferences will have an effect on what you get.  Let me know and I'll try and help..

I own an Xbox and a GC,  i use my xbox way more often and own 12 games, it's definately worth your many, take this advice from someone who owned a PS2 and traded it in, best decision of my life.
