I haven't heard much ska, but I like the watered down version, like no doubt and sublime.  Peace~

Ska isnt really the white mans reggae bro but its all good :)  (unless you mean the people playing the music)
Ska was something magical in a way that had kids of all backgrounds bumping the same music.
Really 2-tone was more intertwined with "white society" and the youth of particularily the late 70s and early 80s.
But reggae was massive in the early and late eighties...at least here no matter your ethnicity.
If you wanting to looking to ska dont forget the Specials...Busta Bloodvessel...madness...the clash...the jam in the early years did a bit of ska

Of course, the very first commercial ska was the Beetles...Lady Madonna.
