and not sayin it's a conspiracy for sure, cuz we'll never know, but the idea would be that the league was tired of lakers domination and wanted other markets to expand so the nba could get more recognition nationally. regardless, the reffing was infamously terrible that finals- just do a quick search and see what the general consensus is.

After what happened in Game 6 of 2002 Western Conference Finals, no Laker fan should ever say a word about refs making bad calls. This was the most terrible called game in the history of the NBA - straight scam and robbery:

that only further proves my point of the NBA fixing games....people tend to forget that the sacramento series was not reffed in favor of the lakers winning, it was simply reffed for the series to be extended to a game 7. game 5 was just as horrible in the kings favor as game 6 was in the lakers favor. the favoritism of the refs went back n forth in that series, as tim donaghy already detailed in his book, and it was only to lengthen the series.

Sports are obviously fixed at all levels.

Didn't you guys hear about all those Soccer games recently coming out as fixed? Something like 600 matches were found to be fixed & those are only the ones they have proof of.

You guys really think everything is called down the middle? If it was, every man in the world would be the greatest gambler & Las Vegas would of went out of business decades ago. But there is seemingly an upset at every twist & turn. There was like an 80%-20% difference in the 2011 Finals in favor of the Heat over the Mavs. Shocking upset. Same numbers for the Lakers-Pistons series in 04. If you're an avid gambler & pay attention to all the upsets that take place on a regular basis in all sports, you'd think it's insane for someone to think sports are 100% in the hands of the players on the court/field.
