Definitely agree with all mentioned. I’d throw in:

RIP Mausberg by DJ Quik. Literally sounded like he was in tears rapping his verse.

Changes by 2Pac and Some Things Never Change by E-40, both very powerful, emotional tracks.
Interestingly, they both use the same sample, and apparently were recorded around the same time, without one knowing that the other was working on their respective track.

no... that's not the way I remember it.  I remember 2pac's O.G. verses being to that same "Just The Two Of Us" beat from the old 70's song.   After Pac died they took some of his left over verses  from "Cause I Had To" and "Wonder if Heaven Got A Ghetto" verses, outtakes or whatever and mixing it up with the classic Bruce Hornsby song to make "Changes".
