Sickest College Basketball Players of all time
« on: August 12, 2021, 07:00:46 PM »
Most of you aren’t old enough to have witnessed the good ol days of college ball when most used to stay 4 years... Garnett and Kobe pretty much changed all that... but you will be shocked if you go on YouTube and watch college ball pre-Garnett and Kobe coming out early..

Players to watch:

—Watch Stacey Augmon at UNLV.  This guy was unbelievable.  He did everything... he could shoot from outside, he could win a slam dunk contest, he was the best defensive player I’ve ever seen at the college level, blocks, steals, could pass and a team leader

—Yet as great as Stacey Augmon was—he wasn’t even the best player on his own team!!  Larry Johnson was the go to guy.  He was a beast.  In NBA he was a 3 but in college he was a 4 and dominated the post... he was even an amateur boxing 🥊 sensation but had to give that up to choose basketball over boxing.  Amazing athlete and played his ass off.  Kept working on his game and developed his 3 point shot as well by the end of his college days.

—Danny Manning.  Go back and watch KU’s championship run under Larry Brown.  This guy looked better than Jordan in college!!  If ever a player put his team on his back and went and won a championship he did it that year

—Christian Laetner.  Everyone tested this dude cause he was some preppy looking White boy at Duke but he was no punk.  He would throw down at the drop of a hat and even scrapped it out with teammates in practices it got so heated.  He’d take on the biggest and strongest guys on opposing teams with no fear and no backdown and they say his competitiveness was like Jordan he competed in all things in life even getting bags first at the airport.  He also hit the biggest shot in college basketball history.  Maybe even sports history.
