Big Cas is without a doubt the future of hip-hop. With a flow wise beyond his years, this nineteen-year-old lyricist could easily be the next Biggie, Jay-Z, or Nas. ¨I always loved hip-hop music, as far back as I can remember. I started rapping when I was twelve. I remember being out on Friday nights hanging out with friends, and checking my watch every fifteen minutes to make sure I was home by midnight.

At that time MTV had a show called Yo! MTV Raps that came on at midnight. From the time it premiered I never missed an episode. When the show was canceled, they aired a special finale show where almost every artists that was hot at the time showed up to say goodbye to the show. While watching this episode I made the decision, that this is what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

Big Cas was born in the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Nicknamed Fayettenem for the constant street wars that go on there. Unlike most cities in the Carolinas, Fayetteville´s MCs flow with a hard up north lyrical style instead of a more production based Dirty South style.

Big Cas along with the others set the trend for this in the area. He has accomplished a lot in his few years as an MC. Along with opening for nearly any establlished rap act to come through NC including Trina, Mobb Deep, NORE, Lil´Jon and the Eastside Boyz, fellow NC rapper Petey Pablo, and others. "I like the fact that hip-hop music is more commercially accepted these days. I, as a fan, pretty much watched rap go from something new the young Black kids was falling into a genre that today´s music industry couldn´t survive without. That´s why my music is so hot. Cause I love the music and I know how it should sound."
